Marina Blue, an Arquitectonica development built in 2007, is by all means an impressive landmark of the Miami skyline. It is so good I almost felt guilty when I realized that so far, I’ve written more articles on its neighbors and left it for last. Some people even commented as to whether I had a “beef” with this building and was therefore ignoring it.
The truth is actually quite the opposite. But I didn’t even know it was possible to have a “beef” with a building.
A two tier development, it soars 57 stories tall in its southern facing portion and 51 stories on its northern one with a total of 516 units once construction finished. These are some of the intricate, yet very important details I decided to take more time in writing this and provide as much as possible. The end result is what I hope to be a blueprint for anyone looking for more information prior to buying a condo or selling theirs.
Located at 888 Biscayne Blvd in northeastern Downtown Miami, Marina Blue is situated right across the street from the Downtown deep water yacht slip (the one David Beckham wanted to fill to build a soccer stadium). Among its neighboring developments (Marquis, 900 Biscayne, and Ten Museum Park) it is also the closest one to the American Airlines Arena, Bayside Marketplace and Freedom Tower. With so many world class venues close by, very few buildings offer the same level of convenience. With Metromover’s Park West station just one block west, it is also ideal for free and easy access to other areas such of Downtown as well as Brickell and Edgewater.
An expansive amenity deck is located on the 14th floor and provides the vast array of amenities one can expect on a building in the area. It also includes the traditional additions of a full service building. Some of these features include:

- Hot tub and plunge pools
- Business Center (Lobby)
- 24 hour concierge
- On site 24 hour security
- Valet parking
- Outdoor dining and BBQ
- State of the art fitness center and aerobics rooms

Developer finishes for units include floor to ceiling impact glass windows that vary in height according to unit. As per my knowledge, the breakdown is as follows:
- 9 foot ceilings for standard condos
- 10 foot high ceilings for units on the 44th floor and above
- 18 foot high ceilings on Loft units on floors 7,9, and 11
- 20 foot high ceilings on Penthouse units.
Of all the bells and whistles included in this modern development as well as all its striking amenities, the most remarkable feature found in Marina Blue is Arquitectonica’s angled design, which allows all of its 516 units to enjoy direct water views.
Residence prices for Marina Blue, as of the time I’m writing this, start at $365,000 for 1 bedroom 1 and half bath units and up to $5,490,000 for an exclusive 4 bedroom Penthouse with almost 5000 square feet of space. 36 units are currently available for sale, which equals to about 7% of total units. With moderate rental restrictions, which permit owners to rent their units up to 3 times per year, it is also a popular staple for investors looking to buy high rise developments for income purposes. Short term rentals, however, are not allowed (3 month minimum required).
Known primarily for the residences, Marina Blue does feature commercial space on the ground floors. One of these spaces happens to be the home of Pucci’s Pizza, which I humbly believe it to be on the best in the entire city. Pucci’s for me is a must go when it comes to having a snack before or after a Miami Heat game.
I could go on forever but I fear this will turn into a book instead of a post. If I could summarize the building, the most notable feat continues to be Arquitectonica’s vision to design a building with amazing views from every floor plan. If water views are what you’re looking for, even on a lower price range, then this is the building that will give you the views you wish for.
